    EXPERIENCE  

Adobe Systems 6/2004 - Present. Seattle, WA

Sr. Interaction Designer. InDesign CS4. Designed and shipped the following features in InDesign CS4. Buttons and Sample Buttons, Page Transitions, Export to Flash CS4 and Flash Player 10, Rotate Page View. Supported Smart Guides, Dimensions, Transformation Tooltips, and Workspaces. Additionally supported Dreamweaver CS4 part-time on the following features seen in Dreamweaver CS4: InContext Editing client and web portal. Insert Bar, Code Navigator, and Workspaces.

Interaction Designer. InDesign CS3. Designed and shipped the following features seen in InDesign CS3. Style Groups, Print Booklet, Glyphs Panel additions, Enhancements to Find Change, and Control Panel Customization. Prior to working on InDesign, drove the user experience for a 1.0 project intended for CS3. Prior to CS3, Designed and shipped new print and color management workflows seen in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop CS2.

Responsibilities include writing use cases, building workflow diagrams, designing wireframes, mockups, prototypes, specifications and usability tests. Team collaboration with engineers, other designers, researchers, product managers, technical writers, partners, and testers. Other activities include focused customer visits, competitive analysis, presentations, candidate interviews, and university collaborations.

Infopop, Inc. 2001 - 2002 Seattle, WA

Director of Product Development.
Managed the web application development process including team coordination among developers, designers, product managers and customer service representatives. Responsibilities included project management, art direction, UI direction, career development, and evaluation. Responsible for specifications, UI design, usability studies, QA, and customer support. Releases include Buzzcast v1.0, the Infopop e-commerce platform v1.0, Infopop Web Hosting services v1.0, and the Inner Circle Affiliate program v1.0.


Reactivity, Inc. (Cisco) 2000 - 2001 Seattle, WA

Interaction Designer. Worked remotely for a Silicon Valley technology venture accelerator helping early stage companies expedite their time-to-market. Projects included new ventures research, documentation of the client process for internal and external use, sales restructuring, mentoring junior designers, and interface design. Clients included Bowstreet, Salion and 2Vox.

1999 – 2000 Bellevue, WA

Program Manager - UI. Responsible for front-end features, prototypes, presentations, specifications, priority management, bug triage, usability protocol definition, and project management. Communicated with designers, editors, merchandisers, other program managers, producers, developers, testers, and customer care teams. Releases include the GNC Live Well store, v2.0 Anniversary launch, the pervasive shopping cart, Beauty.com platform integration, and the drugstore/Beauty.com Channel for 3Com’s Internet Appliance, Audrey.


Trilogy Software, Inc.
1996 – 1999 Austin, TX

Program Manager.
Responsible for product definition, specification, workflow, interaction design, prototyping, user testing, bug triage, QA, art direction and design. Additional responsibilities included partner integration, beta client relations and light pre-sales work including demos to partners. Releases include Buying Chain 2.0.

Sr. UI Designer. Responsible for UI project management, interaction specification, workflow, interaction design, prototyping, user testing, needs analysis, art direction and design. Releases include SC Proposal, SC Open Replicator, SC Replicator Maint, SC Object Manager, Customer Desktop 1.0, Buying Chain 1.0, BC Web. Clients included Haworth Furniture, Mercedes, Jeep, FMC Wellhead, and Whirlpool. Other responsibilities included recruiting HCI candidates at CMU, NYU, and CHI.

The Limited Inc. 1995 – 1996 Columbus, OH

Designer. Responsible for package design, the Express web store beta, photo studio and model direction, in-store murals, campaigns, style guides, and specialty products. Additional responsibilities included managing illustrators and photographers, photo shoots, and set direction.


Fossil Watches
1993 – 1995 Dallas, TX

Art Director. Responsible for design of annual reports, watches, package design, ads, catalogs, brochures, logos, posters, CD-ROM UI, web prototypes, campaigns and trade show exhibits. Additional responsibilities included managing junior designers, photo direction, and photo styling.
